Quality

Southern Pacific Sands established a quality management system in 1999 for mining and processing of sands and soils and in February 2001, were certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001 by an external certifying body.

Since then a continuous improvement to quality and the quality management system has been an integral part of Southern Pacific Sands rise in the marketplace.
An on-site laboratory has a quality control regime to ensure all products produced are tested for compliance to product specifications, official standards and customer's specific needs. External testing of products is also undertaken as further checks and/or job specific conditions.

Environmental
Southern Pacific Sands site operates under both approved mining leases and extractive permits. These operations are controlled under a number of operating plans which are all linked to an Environmental Authority.
The Environmental Authority contains agreed conditions for operations and was issued by the Environmental Protection Agency, who remains the regulatory body for all environmental issues and compliance. A comprehensive environmental monitoring regime is followed to ensure compliance with all environmental conditions.
